Program Description Need to know how to probe the biomedical literature for a specific question or structure a review search? This class goes beyond the basics to give you a thorough understanding of Medline and how to query it with advanced search methods.

  Pre-requisite knowledge: Some use of the biomedical literature. Knowledge of what Medline/Pubmed is. Experience with searching Pubmed or Google Scholar.
  Learning outcomes: Understand the different types of records found in Medline and how to retrieve them. Be able to use Basic and Advanced search modes efficiently in Ovid Medline. Use the Medline subject heading structure effectively. Save and export searches and search results.
