Notes The first movie released in the USSR under the title Bronenoset͡s "Potemkin" (Battleship Potemkin). Originally produced as a silent motion picture in 1925; restored in the Soviet Union in 1976.
The second movie released in 1929 in the USSR under the title Staroye i novoye (Old and new). Originally the title was planned to be Generalnaya linya (The general line), by which it is now frequently known.

Summary DVD. Le cuirassé Potemkine: Re-creates the 1905 mutiny on the battleship "Prince Potemkin." It focuses on a mutiny by the battleship's crew and the subsequent massacre of civilians, reflecting the spirit of the times. (72 min.) La ligne générale: A Russian peasant woman is converted to socialist agricultural principles and fights superstition and bureaucracy to create a cooperative in her community (120 min.).
