Notes This version prepared in 1956 by the British Film Institute from material presented to the National Film Archive by Louis Lumiere in 1936.

Performers Commentary: Stanley Reed.
Summary This was the first programme to be shown in London by Auguste and Louis Lumiere on February 20th, 1896. The items are: Workers leaving the Lumiere factory; Baby's breakfast; Demolition of a wall; Watering the gardener; Conference of photographic societies, July 1895; Arrival of the train at the station; A game of cards; A boat leaving the harbour. The footage has been stretched printed to run at the appropriate speed with the music track and commentary.
