Summary This book provides a unique overview of the current applications of aclacinomycin A in malignant hematologic disorders, as single-agent therapy or together with other agents in combination regimens. Accounts are given of its action in myelodysplastic syndromes and of its efficacy in acute myeloid leukemias for the latter, one chapter presents the results of single-agent therapy in older patients, while four other studies describe the efficacy of aclacinomycin A combined with conventional or intermediate-dose cytosine arabinoside or etoposide in relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia.
