Flower in hell (Chiokhwa). A country bumpkin goes to Seoul in order to bring his older brother back to the country. Little does he know Young-shik is a petty crook involved with a prostitute who is servicing American GIs.
Wild flower in the battlefield (Tŭlgukhwa nŭn pʻiŏnnŭnde). The tragedy of the Korean War unfolds through the eyes of a 10-year old boy.
Petal (Kkonnip). A story of a 15 years old girl who deserts her dying mother and runs away amid gunfire during the Kwangju uprising, May, 1980. She never talks and her mind seems to be torn into pieces. But she retells her past in front of her mother's tomb.
Sopyonje (Sŏpʻyŏnje): Based on a short story by Yi Chʻŏng-jun, about a p'ansori master who travels with two adopted children throughout the countryside in efforts to perform and develop their artistry.
Mudang (Yŏngmae). A documentary that reflects the unique characteristics of Korean shamanism (mu) and shamans (mudang).
Unforgiven (Yongsŏ patchi motan cha). A young university student starts his two-year military duty and discovers that a former classmate is his new superior. As time passes, he struggles not to adopt the prevailing mindset of the military.
Welcome to Dongmakgol (Welkʻŏm tʻu Tongmakkol). Two South Korean soliders, three North Korean soldiers, and an American pilot all get stranded in a remote mountain village during the Korean War.
King and the clown: (Wang ŭi namja). The story of a pair of clowns who perform comic plays, songs, and acrobatic tricks for aristocrats or commoners during the Chosŏn Dynasty.
