Summary The film follows two life changing journeys across Kenya - an ultra endurance athlete Chris Rhys Howarth who attempts to run 40 marathons in 30 days across the country, and a young Kenyan street boy fighting to build a life away from the streets. It's a story of how these journeys come to be connected, about overcoming the odds, and learning to see the world through new eyes. After a year working with street boys in Kenya, ultra endurance athlete Chris Rhys Howarth decides on a plan to raise awareness and money for the children he's come to know: to run more than 1000 miles across the entire breadth of Kenya, through 12 major towns and cities. He attempts to run the equivalent of 40 marathons in 30 days, through the country's toughest conditions and diverse landscapes - from the remote mountains and altitude of the Rift Valley and Central Provinces - to the sprawling urban heart of Nairobi - and through the barren, desert roads towards Mombasa ... However, this challenge is about more than just running: Chris stops along the way on the streets and discovers the true picture of the street child tragedy in Kenya. In a parallel story, we follow Julius, age 11, who lives on the streets in a slum called Mathare. Julius struggles to fight hunger, abuse, and his own addiction to sniffing glue in order to raise money for his first trip to downtown Nairobi.
