Notes Cites royal letter 10 Feb. 1674[-5] mentioning the great burdens on sheriffs, which are harder to bear owing to the impoverishment of the gentry. Judges to be allowed £100 per circuit for expenses. Fees from sheriffs to cease either to exchequer or judges. Fees on passing accounts still to be paid.--Cf. Steele.
