Summary The darkly humorous and sophisticated comedy tells the story of a romantic young Japanese-born Belgian woman who returns to Japan to work as a translator only to find herself overwhelmed by the mysterious and absurd machinations of the Japanese business world. The film adds the musicality of the Japanese language and breaktaking aerial views of Tokyo. This film presents a distorted view by a rather unbalanced character, perfectly played by the hallucinated Sylvie Testud, desperately struggling to win her challenge to remain one year in that company, at any cost. The film focuses only on her life within the company, as a symbol of her obsession. This depicts the utter difference between Japanese work culture and Western.
