Description 19th Century Masterfile was launched in 1999 as "Poole's Plus," but has now grown to include over seventy contemporary indexes to English-language publishing prior to 1930. The Library subscribes to all 5 sections: I. Multi-title periodical indexes -- II. Book indexes -- III. Newspaper indexes -- IV. Complete individual periodical indexes -- V. US Patents; Hansard's; US and UK Historical Government Documents. These indexing sources cover the following subject areas: History, Philosophy, Literature Studies, Classics, Legal Studies, History of Science, Religion, Psychology, Engineering Technologies, Art Studies, Culture, Medicine.
Authorized Users University of Melbourne staff, students and walk-in users on the Library premises have access to this electronic resource.
